The Position:

The Shipping Coordinator at Rustic Pathways works with our Global Logistics Manager to assist with the daily fulfillment of sales materials (such as catalogs, posters, business cards, and other promotional materials), and client materials (such as t-shirts, duffle bags, Nalgene water bottles, notebooks, and pre-travel packets).  The Shipping Coordinator is also responsible for the assembly and preparation of shipping materials. A high level of attention to detail and a focus on quality is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily mailing of catalogs and other materials.
  • Assembly of shipping materials and packaging.
  • Completion of daily shipping requests from staff members.
  • Assist with warehouse inventory and maintenance.
  • Data entry and expense reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills Required:

  • Ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting boxes up to 50lbs, assembly of packaging materials, inserting materials into envelopes for bulk mailings, etc.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Diligent and self-motivated work ethic.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word (including mail merging and basic data processing).
  • Experience with cloud-based email client and productivity suite such as Gmail and Google Docs.
  • Familiarity with shipping providers (USPS, UPS, FedEX, DHL) and shipping software and postage purchasing providers (Endicia) is preferred.

Work and Environmental Conditions

This position is primarily based in an office setting and warehouse. The work pace for this position is sometimes fast paced where standing is required for up to 2-3 hours at a time.

This position requires such physical abilities as sitting for computer and phone work for long periods of time, standing, walking, stooping, and kneeling throughout the warehouse and Ohio office buildings. Other abilities include lifting up to 50lbs and balancing, carrying, handling, pushing, and pulling freight and other materials. Use of packaging and warehouse equipment such pallet jack, dolly, stretch wrap dispenser, tape gun, and box cutter are also required.

Majority of work is done in a controlled office and warehouse environment. The environment in which the job is performed outside a normal office space may include exposure to extreme temperature, noise, heights, or other hazards. All remains the same for any additional requirements for training, protective clothing, or monitoring.

  • Acclimation with Rustic Pathways proprietary Salesforce.com system, postage systems, and shipping quality standards.
