The Group Travel Sales team is looking for individuals with:

  • A passion for international travel in off-the-beaten-path locations
  • Experience with education through travel personally, as a teacher chaperone, or in a previous professional capacity
  • An academic and supportive tone, but relentless persistence in finding and hooking clients
  • The drive to build out your own book of business (and/or ability to bring your existing relevant educator clientele)
  • Excitement for collaborating with educators to find (or customize!) their perfect program
  • Creativity and interest in compiling the perfect package of recruitment materials for each client (leveraging materials prepared or customized by our design team)

  • May have existing clients that will be excited to follow you to Rustic Pathways, or have experience in prospecting, outreaching, and building out a client list - and you’re eager to do so again.

  • Prospect to generate new leads and areas of business.
  • Focus on outreach and establish rapport as you build your client list through constructive, helpful, and friendly relationships.
  • Coordinate with the Outside Sales team to identify new client targets, prospect leads, and book school-based visits in your region.
  • Support clients before, during, and after their trip effectively for annual retention.
  • Meticulously update your CRM files
  • Contribute to regional sales team success and achieving company metrics as needed.

Job Qualifications:

  • Experience: 1 - 5 years of experience. Multiple positions will be hired for, with expectations and compensation commensurate with experience.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience with some college.

Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:

  • Travel-,  Learning-, or Education-Sales background preferred.
  • Personal experience in student travel (as student or leader).
  • Passion for international travel.
  • Appreciation for diversity in cultures and experiences.
  • Understands the value of experiential education and travel.
  • Adaptable and flexible personality.
  • Eager to learn from colleagues and enjoys open collaboration and teamwork
  • Interested in a fast-paced, rapidly developing role with opportunity for growth and ownership.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Clear and concise presence on phone and email communication.
  • Comfortable with making presentations in front of large groups.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Apps.

Travel: approximately 3 weeks of travel per quarter, split between trainings, company sessions, client visits, familiarization trips, and presentations to interested communities. Amount of travel required will depend upon client needs, your stable home location, and your sales region.


While this position is remote, the ideal candidate will be able to work from one of our stable hubs (Bay Area California, Denver Colorado, Cleveland Ohio), or within their assigned sales territory.
