JFK - Unaccompanied Minor Coordinator (Summer 2018) at Rustic Pathways

The Position
Unaccompanied Minor (UM) Coordinators work directly with our students 14 and younger who are flying alone on their domestic flights to and from one of our gateway airports – Kennedy International Airport. This person eases the airport hustle and bustle as the unaccompanied minor students begin and end their Rustic Pathways programs. UM Coordinators must be able to coordinate, track, and account for every unaccompanied minor student in the airport. They must also keep track of flight information for the domestic and international flights our students travel on. UM Coordinators are usually the first people our families meet at the airport. They impact our families by calming fears and trepidations, getting students excited for the amazing opportunity ahead of them, and guiding everyone involved as students depart for their program and return to the US.
This is a seasonal, non-exempt position. Hours scheduled for this airport on Tuesday, Wednesday and Fridays.
Responsibilities:
You will work with our Airport Coordinators and Flight Leaders at your assigned airport to accomplish the following:
Job Qualifications:
Years of Experience: At least 2-3 years of relevant teaching, leadership, volunteer, youth counseling, and logistics planning experience. At least 2-3 years of experience in a customer service environment.

Location:
Work from one of our gateway airports - Kennedy International Airport - on departure and arrival days of our student group flights. Schedules will vary each week depending on departure and arrival schedules.
